"The things that change the world are the small things".

Our business takes us everyday to the streets and small towns of India, making us an essential fabric of the every day life on ground, and its realities. Sometimes flourishing. Often times, sobering.

CMS has a rich history of often being among the first responders at a time of crisis. With a fleet and team that is operational on any given day, during every natural disaster or calamity that we as a country encounter, CMS manages to reach its relief efforts directly to affected communities.

Our community connecting programmes that run through the year, are meant to create an impact in the places where our own work happens. Above all, we aim for effectiveness and a hands on approach where our own teams can be involved with our CSR partners and other NGOs, across the country. Here are some of our strategically chosen programmes towards which the corporate CSR grants have been deployed.

As part of Goonj's Neev project, we have donated towards the holistic development of a cluster of villages in the state of Maharashtra. Our grant addresses issues of sanitation, water crisis, malnutrition, unemployment, migration, health and hygiene, and environment.

Manuvikasa develops water harvesting structures in the state of Karnataka, to increase accessibility of water to agricultural land, thereby improving the economic condition and livelihood of the agrarian communities. CMS is responsible for the rejuvenation of multiple medium size lakes. Soil is excavated from each lake and transported to the farmers' fields to be used as manure. The ground water level will improve, and this should lead to increased crop productivity, and fishery income, and therefore improved livelihood.

70% of kids in the country study in regional language government schools. But 100% of higher education is offered only in English. Moreover, the teachers who teach in these schools are products of the same system. LeapForWord has developed a program to help non-English speaking teachers teach English. The CMS – LeapForWord partnership directly reaches out to teachers in the regional schools in all 36 districts of Maharashtra, through training sessions for the English Literacy Program, which will translate to an indirect impact on students across the state.
